Throughout his young days at school and just afterwards, a number of things happened to Roald Dahl, which made such a tremendous impression he never forgot them. Boy is the remarkable story of Roald Dahl's childhood; tales of exciting and strange things - some funny, some frightening, all true.

The plot of this book is about Roald Dahl writing about his Family, School Years, And of course himself! I would recommend this book if you are interested in learning about the author: Roald Dahl.

I don’t like that the boy gets smacked with a cane on his bottom by his Headteacher. I like it because it is about Roald Dahl

This book was amazing! It told me all about Roald Dahl who wrote some of the best children's books in history. You may never have heard of boy but most people will be able to recall Charlie and the Chocolate factory. You need to read this book.

Boy is an interesting book to read; it tells you all about Roald Dahl when he was about six years old to when he got his first job. It’s a biography book with not too many pictures in it . It teaches you about his childhood and how it was to live in that moment. I would recommend it to people who like reading About an or this childhood

This book was non fiction. It tells you more about Roald Dahl's life. It is funny, gripping and I wanted to read it again the second I finished it. I liked the part where the rat was put in gobstoppers. I also liked the fact that whenever Roald got caned in the book, he would have a picture of a cane and it would always say 'cane' or 'cane again' and I liked the other illustrations too. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes history or finding out about people's lives and what things were like in the 1900s

My favourite part of the book was when young Roald Dahl put goat's droppings into one of his sisters' future husband. It is a mini autobiography.

I really liked the diary and how it was all about Roald Dahl’s life. This book had lots of information and I could imagine the things he described about growing up.

I love this book because it brings us to a childhood from 100 years ago, but yet with so many similarities to what happens today (luckily not the physical violence!). Throughout the book, one can find many of Roald Dahl’s fictional characters and settings inspirations. A must read for people who enjoy Roald Dahl’s books and have read lots of them!
