This book is fantastic. It's based on the movie and my favourite character was Satsuki because she was very brave. The book also contains wonderful anime illustrations that helped create the book's structure.

This is a good book based on the film by Hayao Miyazaki. This book is about two sisters called Satsuki and Mei who move closer houses so that they can be near their mother and the hospital that she's in. One day Mei goes missing and Tatsou (their father) has to help Satsuki find Mei as they start exploring to find her they go through some laurel bushes to find her and there she is sleeping in one of the passage ways! When they wake her up she starts talking about this animal, a cross between many things called Totoro. As the book goes on Satsuki meets Totoro too! Then Totoro helps their seedlings grow and helps find Mei when she runs off! I would recommend this book for people eight over and who enjoy fantasy. There are also good illustrations.

I actually read the comic in French. I loved it, I have already seen the film but by reading the books I could see a lot more details.

They thought the house was haunted and it was really was but they liked it. It was hard to read all the Japanese names, especially the hospital.
