Corporal Mandrake Vampire 08.08.2021

It was so interesting and very hard to put down because everytime you tried there was a plot twist. I liked Matty Arnatt the best because there is a whole storyline to be revealed about his character. I would 100% recommend.

Sherlock Holmes has taken on a life of his own . So why not expand your holmesian knowledge by getting an insight into his teenage life. The year is 1868 and Sherlock Holmes is fourteen . His life is that of a perfectly ordinary army officers son : boarding school , good manners , a classical education - - the backbone of the British Empire . But all that is about to change . With his father suddenly posted to India , and his mother mysteriously unwell , Sherlock is sent to stay with his eccentric uncle and aunt in their vast house in Hampshire . So begins a summer which leads Sherlock to uncover his first murder ,a kidnap , corruption and a brilliantly sinister villain of exquisitely malign intent -----------------

I think this is a good book because it has a lot of excitement and is quite good if you want to read Sherlock Holmes; but think it might be a bit complicated to follow. Sometimes it uses some complex language, so I would suggest this for 10-11 +

In my opinion this book is a good read for children from 8-15. In the book you will learn more about the Victorian era. This book will give you a thirst for adventure and send you on a wild roller coaster from Farnham all the way to London as Sherlock tries to solve a mystery that could end Britain as we know it. This book varies from a range of characters like Sherlock , a young boy who is always keen to solve mysteries, to Baron Mauterpis an evil figure who tries to get rid of the British forces. I definitely enjoyed this book and anybody who has a thirst for adventure or loves mystery should read this outstanding novel
