This book was an action-packed read, full of interesting characters and dark twists and turns. I find all of Anthony Horowitz's books brilliantly dark and spine-chilling. The book was so good, I couldn't put it down. This book is great for anyone aged 11+ who loves a bit of dark but exciting narrative.

I really enjoyed the book. Every page got my heart racing, it was dramatic, action packed and spine chilling. My favourite character was the main character, Matt Freeman. I would recommend this book for sure. Probably one of the best books I have ever read.

I have really enjoyed this book because it is quite exciting, mysterious and scary in a fun way. Everything about the Old Ones and Raven's gate is so interesting. Matt has these special powers that can make weird things happen. He is my favorite character. And there is another gate. I would definitely recomend this to someone.

It was very mysterious and slightly spooky as well. It was fictional and my favourite person was Asmodeus the cat because I like cats. I would recommend it to someone else but it is not really for the faint-hearted, so you need to expect a bit of creepiness!

This book had a very interesting plot and good transition from a misbehaved street boy to witches and fantasy.

I really like this book because the author describes the character as a very dull and not a happy person. Also his first name is Matthew but he called him self Matt. He lives in a city called Ipswich. He also has a friend called Kelvin. Kelvin also has a older brother called Charlie. Also it has a lot of plot twist in the story.

I liked this book lots because it was very interesting and great. My favourite part was when they tried to sacrifice Matthew for his blood to open ravens gate but he stopped them with his power. My least favourite part was when they took Matthew away to a police station. My favourite character was Matthew (Matt for short) because he had the power to know the future ans to control things with his mind! I would recommend it to my friends because it was a really good book and I know they would like it.

I thought this book was very different to other stories I have read and I loved it! Anthony Horowitz has the amazing description of Charles Dickens and the wit of J.K Rowling. Matt Freeman a boy who thinks he is different finds his way and more importantly his powers! He is included in a prophecy that he cannot escape from. I would recommend it to ages 13 and over as there is some content that would be disturbing to anyone younger.
