Model Misfit (Geek Girl, Book 2)
Holly Smale
“My name is Harriet Manners, and I am still a geek.”
MODEL MISFIT is the sequel to award-winning No. 1 UK debut GEEK GIRL. Harriet Manners knows a lot of facts. She knows that humans have 70,000 thoughts per day. She knows that Geek + Model = a whole new set of graffiti on your belongings. And that the average person eats a ton of food a year, though her pregnant stepmother is doing her best to beat this. But Harriet doesn’t know where she’s going to fit in once the new baby arrives. And with her summer plans ruined, modelling in Japan seems the perfect chance to get away. Can Harriet cope with the craziness of Tokyo, her competitive model flatmates and her errant grandmother’s ‘chaperoning’. Or seeing gorgeous Nick everywhere she goes? Will geek girl find her place on the other side of the world? The sequel to the award-winning debut GEEK GIRL.Reviews

I love the geek girl books! I read this one really quickly and I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series. The Harriet character is interesting to read about.

I loved it so much
Captain Nectarine Spaceship 18.08.2024

I liked the book because of the romance in it and how Harriet thought Nick liked Poppy when he had loved her all along.

Verry clever how it all winds up at the end! I would highly recommend even if you don't like fashion.

It was an interesting book although I think it was not completely my favourite.

This book is my favourite geek girl book because the story is set in Tokyo which I love reading about. On every modelling job she takes, she always causes some kind of trouble until she’s fired, but it turns out to be a misunderstanding so her boss asks her to come back. But this time she says no. This book is about learning to stand up for yourself if you don’t want to do something that someone else wants you to do. I also love reading about the different shops and the way the author describes the girls as always saying kawaiiii!

It is about a girl called Harriet who is a model. Her boyfriend recently dumped her and she is going to Japan for a modelling job where she meets him! I loved this book and the suspense is very high but it takes an unexpected twist!📖
Mademoiselle Honeycomb Mildew 07.08.2022

I thought it was brilliant and interesting

Amazing! I really enjoyed this book! Harriet, after becoming a model and sorta screwing up everything that happened during the first book, has become, well, no better at modelling. Despite the fact she has more experience, she manages to mess up...a few times. Super good read, 4 stars! Would recommend :)

Brilliant story about a girl who moves to Tokyo with 2 other models, but 1 turns out to be really mean.
Madam Flopsy Bumblebee 29.08.2020

This is about a girl called Harriet Manners who is a model. She is employed by a fashion superstar Yuka Ito. She had to go away to Tokyo to do some modeling for Yuka Ito! I love this book and I would highly recomend it for anyone.
