I loved this book as I like snakes. Vislak is so powerful that he can control snakes. Excellent second book in the series.

It was about fighting and was spectacular. I love it because Tom and Elenna freed Vislak from Kensa's Evil

My definite favourite character in this book is the explorer from Avantia. I can’t believe Tom and Ellenna survived the ruby desert!

I thought this book was astonishing because Tom and Elenna survive in the desert as they have found water there and they also defeat the mighty snake Vislak in that searing heat. I liked Tom best because he is the Master of the Beasts and when an evil person turns good beasts into bad beasts or makes bad beasts, Tom (and Elenna) always defeats them and make the bad beasts good. It is not factual but it interests me because Tom and Elenna are very cool as they use good magic to help defeat beasts and there are also good wizards who are Aduro and Daltec but Aduro doesn't do magic anymore so only Daltec uses it. I would recommend this to my friend as he like to read books about deserts adventure especially books with beasts in the desert.

Vislak is definitely my favourite character in it. My favourite bit was at the end of the book when they found all of the second ingredients to cure Vedra the dragon which was water from the City of Snakes in the Ruby Desert. When they found the place it made everything all beautiful again because when they lost the water everything got destroyed there.

In this book I liked how Tom had to collect water to save Vedra from the Luna blood, which he was poisoned with. I would recommend this book to someone else.

Tom fights the good beast Vislak after he (Vislak) is cursed by the evil witch Kensa and chops of Vislak's tongue (because the black scales on it are controlling him).
