The Kick Off is the perfect book for football fans. The story starts with Jamie in the summer holidays, about to enter Year 9 at Kingsfield School. However, he has already met a furious rival - Dillon Simmonds, who used to be best player in the school before Jamie arrived. To make more trouble, Jamie struggles to make the A team at the the school, falls out with his best mate Jack, and has a big argument with his mum. Can he settle a place in the A Team, make it up with his best mate and his mum, and settle his differences with Dillon?

It is a good series if you will have access to the whole series. The kick off is the first 1 and I enjoyed it. Its about a 13-14 year old but i first read this series when I was 7 I think. overall ages 7-any age can enjoy it.

I thought Jamie is a very good footballer I wish I could be as good as him! I loved Jamie the most because he is doing no harm whilst playing football even though Dilan simmonds is a big bully I would recommend it to people who love football

This book was great, I liked it because it talked about a boy who loves football but gets teased by saying he’s not going to be a professional footballer so he proves them wrong.

I think this book was a great book. I think everyone should read this book because it was a great way to pass the time in the holidays. I am going to carry on reading the series and i hope you feel the same way after you read this book.
