Jo's mum is from Jamaica and her dad is from England, like my mummy. I didn't like the story very much, it was a bit boring. I liked the map of Jamaica on the wall in their house. Mummy said Jo was a good girl becuase she didn;t spend all her money on the way to the post office, but waited and that was good because when they got to the post office it was closing in 10 minutes and Jo's money helped Mummy to post grandma's present because Mummy had forgotten her money at home!

In the book Jo wanted to go shopping and her mum said it's okay; her dad said he'll make lunch. She made a card for grandma because it was her birthday; then she went shopping with her mum.
