This about Barney and his owner Jim. Jim has a grandson called Freddie who organises a surprise present for his granddad and things go a little wrong - and Barney has to look after Freddie. I did cry at the end of this book as it was a little sad - but everything was ok at the end

This book was very adventurous. If you like adventurous books this is the book for you!!! It had a few problems in it and a cute dog called Barney too. I recommend this book to everyone!

I chose to read this book because I thought it would be exiting, interesting and fun to read. This book is about a boy called Freddie, his grandfather called Jim and his pet dog Barney. They are going to the fairground then the pig that belonged to Freddie fell in the water. The characters in this book are Barney, Freddie, Jim, Jenna, Dan and Jenna’s mum. My favourite character is Barney because he was excellent in the end and towards the end. I don’t think this book needs to be improved I think this book is just perfect. I would recommend this book to my friends because in the end Freddie got his piggy bank.
