As a history lover, I absolutly adored this book. Without this book, I could've NEVER thought that WW2 with thousands of dead people and total destruction, had some funny facts.

I like the book because it’s got a lot of facts in it. I prefer non fiction books best because I have a brain for the facts. My favourite fact in this book was about air raid shelters and how a mum put her baby boy in a dustbin to keep him safe from the bomb. I am collecting the horrible histories books.

I really loved this book and learning all about Britain in the war and other countries too. The war is very fascinating and it tells us in the book about what life was like for civilians and soldiers and evacuated children. It also shows us a time line of what happened in the war and how things developed over time with regards to bombs and tactics. I love this book and all Horrible History books.
