I really enjoyed reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was exciting, funny, and full of amazing surprises. My favourite character was Charlie because he is kind, honest, and always thinks about his family. Even though he doesn't have much, he is grateful for everything he has. I also loved reading about Willy Wonka because he is such a funny and mysterious character. After I finished the book, I watched the film adaptation Wonka, and I thought it was brilliant. It was really interesting to see the story of how Willy Wonka became such an amazing chocolate maker, and it made me enjoy the book even more. I would definitely recommend Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to other children because it is full of imagination and adventure. It made me laugh and kept me wondering what would happen next. I think it teaches us that being kind and honest is more important than being greedy, and that is a really good lesson.

My favourite characters in this book are the ompa lumpas they are very funny and i like the song they sing. When they are in the chocolate factory Willy Wonka makes me laugh, i like it when they all do the wrong things. I think its amazing how everything is made out of chocolate!
