I like Meggie and would recommend this book because they go to so many places and find Meggie's mother who has been trapped in a book.

I liked this book because it was all about two people that could read characters out of any book. but one day one of them read the wrong people out. The next book is called Inkspell.

My favourite character in this book was Quinn because although he was Dustfinger’s pet and couldn’t speak for himself, he was curious and always sticks by the side of his owner. I would 100% recommended this book to people that are interested in books about adventure and magic. This is definitely a book to read over the holidays.

I liked this book. It is quite long and has lots of words, so I would recommend for people 10+ or fluent readers. It is a fiction book.

It's about how interesting and crazy (and dangerous) life could get if characters came to life. And it gets worse: it's main character Meggie's dad Mo with the magic power to conjure people in and out of books. Would definitely recommend to older readers!

This is an amazing, adventure full fictional book that makes you want to keep on turning the page. My favourite character is Meggie who has an extraordinary talent of reading characters from the pages of books. But there are many evil characters wanting to use this power for evil. I loved this book and would recommend it to any reader.

This is a very exciting book. It's an adventure story and the main character is Meggie. She is also my favourite character because she is a girl with stacks of books everywhere in her house. The character Capricorn scared me because he tried to kill people who he didn't want or need when he could have just let them free. I would recommend this to kids who like scary and adventure stories and also have the patience to read a huge thick book.

this book at first is an amazing book that will whisk you away into a world of books but after a while it gets a bit boring and reading it becomes a chore, i really enjoyed it at first though I just think that its to long and hard to carry on reading it

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke Inkheart is the first book in a trilogy about the magical but dangerous world Fenoglio, the author of the troublesome book Inkheart, created. When Dustfinger, an old acquaintance of Mo Fulchart ‘the book doctor’, turns up outside Meggie Fulchart’s window, the passageway to an old world is opened up again, and Meggie finally receives an answer to her burning question she has had for as long as she could remember - why did her father, Mo, never read aloud? However, this answer comes with a price… and a bonus… But not all of the surprises are good… I would personally give this book 5/5 because it was an excellently written, breathtaking book that I could not put down! The style of writing was so clever, switching between some of the main characters in the story and Cornelia Funke left you on edge at the end of every chapter, compelling you to read on. I would definitely recommend this book to Year 7 and above because there are frequently scary parts, and very mild swearing. All in all, this is an amazing book which I would definitely read again and again!

I loved this book my favourite character was Meggie as she is about my age and she showed that anything is possibly by changing one page of book making a character completely different.
