A love story about opening your heart, by Rainbow Rowell, the New York Times bestselling author of Eleanor & Park. Cath and Wren are identical twins, and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Now they're off to university and Wren's decided she doesn't want to be one half of a pair any more – she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties and let loose. It's not so easy for Cath. She's horribly shy and has always buried herself in the fan fiction she writes, where she always knows exactly what to say and can write a romance far more intense than anything she's experienced in real life. Without Wren, Cath is completely on her own and totally outside her comfort zone. She's got a surly room-mate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, a fiction-writing professor who thinks fan fiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words . . . And she can't stop worrying about her dad, who's loving and fragile and has never really been alone. Now Cath has to decide whether she's ready to open her heart to new people and new experiences, and she's realizing that there's more to learn about love than she ever thought possible . . . Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell comes with special bonus material; the first chapter from Rainbow's irresistible novel Carry On.

I really enjoyed this book because it was really interesting and something always seemed to grab my attention. My favourite character in this book was Cath because I can really relate to her. I would recommend this to a person who likes fan-fiction, sister bonding and romance.

I thought this book was good but some of the topics are a bit obscure eg. simon/baz stuff. I think this book should be aimed at a slightly older audience and be explained better

I really enjoyed this because it is very relatable and funny .it is about a pair of twin called cat and wren .wren is a very outgoing girl who loves to party and loves friends where as cat is a shy girl who prefers fanfiction and being a fangirl. I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down.it is one of my favourite books and I could read this book over and over and still not get bored. I really recommend this.

It's a really good read with a good amount of family drama. Another reason is, that it includes little bits of fanfics written by the main character.

This post was off my book blog: www.miriamisreading.wordpress.com Cath, twin sister of Wren (very creative Cath er Wren ), is a MEGA fan of Simon Snow, the Harry Potter of this book. Just saying, Rainbow created fake (yet very convincing) extracts of the series. As a result, I ended up googling the Simon Snow series and was extremely disappointed! Come on Rainbow Rowell- Make it Snow!. , It helped her get through her mother leaving but, unlike many other books, that’s not the main subject. I find this quite refreshing after the cliche pattern of Mum leaves Child grieving Child overcomes fear Her twin sister, Wren, wants to let loose; meet boys; go to the loudest, most outrageous parties; and have fun whilst Cath only wants to stay in and write her fan fiction. Therefore, Cath can’t help feeling she’s drifting away from Wren.

I've read this book lots of times and I think it's one of the best books you can ever read in your lifetime. It's funny, exciting and best of all it gives you a reason to read more books. It proves that reading books is not all about reading each word. It's about indulging in each word and imagining the story coming to life in your head. If the story doesn't come to life in your head it's because you're not trying hard enough!
