I think this was written really well and my favourite character is Carrie since she's a bit like me. I love the story because history interests me. I would recommend it to children around the age of 9 or 10.

A good story set in the second world war, sometimes hard to read because of the non standard English.

I liked how the author added facts about World War 2 a few times, but I also felt sad when there were parts of hitting, being locked for days, etc.

I really enjoyed this book! It's such a beautiful and heart-wrenching story. I loved reading about Will's journey, he lives a trying life with a lot of pain but he's happy in the end. The story is fictional but also educational, I even learnt new things about what happened during the war. I would recommend this story for older children, teens and young adults. A very emotional and moving tale.

It was a really good book because it inspires you to read and learn about world war 2, it grabs the attention and all the emotions. If it was fiction ,my fav character was Zacherias Wrench. I definitely recommend this fantastic book.

My favorite character from the book was... I DON'T KNOW! The characters are all amazing! Willie is the main one and he loves art! The story is about a boy called Willie during world war 2, and being evacuated to a different country, and he stays with this nice man called Mr Thomas Oakley, but then his mother wants him back, and she tortures him! Will he ever see Mr Tom ever again?

I loved this book because it was a fiction and non-fiction but it is also was sad but a tiny bit of humour was also in it book. I think Willie was very cute, but he was treated very badly with his mum whereas Tom Oakley loved him and looked after him well. I really, really recommend this book

This book is amazing. About from London names William beech lived with his mother. His mother was cruel and would beat him up every day and tell him lies. Then one day he had to evacuate into the countryside with a person named Tom. Willie had lived with him for 6 months and then he returned home as he had a letter from his mother saying that he was ill. His mother had had a baby and locked him and the baby up in a room with no air. The baby had died and Tom had came back because he could feel that something was wrong he came brought him to the hospital and then kidnapped him and took him back to the countryside

Goodnight mister Tom is a fantastic book. It is a story of how bruised hearts can heal and how rigid ones can soften. The characters are incredibly convincing and react in the most natural way possible, but at the same time surprise you at every turn. I recommend it to anyone interested in the Second World War and aged 9 to 13.
