this book is about a boy who doesn't have a father. People make fun of them because he doesn't have a father his mother says that he is special. He has a nightmare that comes constantly Britain soldiers took him to a fortress and he was about to be sacrificed for his blood. they were going to use his blood to build the missing parts of the fortress. Then merlin got powers and fame. I would highly recommend this book.

I thought the book was really good.I felt in suspense as I wanted to know why he was so special. I liked Merlin best. Yes I would recommend the book to others.

I really liked this book. This book is about a boy called Merlin. Merlin lives in a small hut with his mother. He doesn't have a father so all the people in the village make fun and tease him and his mother. One day,the king of England ( King Vortigern ) sends some guards to capture Merlin and bring him to the king. Merlin is excited to go to the castle and see the king but he is also nervous as well. When he arrives at the castle, he finds out that the king is actually going to sacrifice him in order to keep the walls of the castle strong enough to fight off the Saxon warriors and protect him. Merlin quickly manages to escape and hide in a cave. Merlin walks through the cave and a beautiful crystal cave in which a big red dragon is sitting in the corner. The dragon tells Merlin that he is destined for great things and that he could have a much better life. Merlin immediately decides to have a better life. So, he dips himself in a huge pool of water and becomes magical. Then, he comes out of the cave and runs away from the king and go back home to his mother where she tells him that he was special.

It was fun and interesting. Merlin was my favourite character.
