When a neighbour’s dog goes missing, Damian and his gang of detective apprentices are called in to help find it. First they try posters – but for some reason the newsagent is not happy. Then they try a decoy. And when that doesn’t work, they resort to ‘rescuing’ dogs that have been left on the street, and taking them back to Damian’s shed.

This was a very funny book! Damian Drooth is not a real detective but he did catch some dogs!

It was fiction, the main detective was my favourite character. I would recommend it to people who like detective stories.

It was funny and exciting. I liked it when they thought Winston was the dog snatcher but he turned out not to be. (I would really rate this book 4 1/2)

Because it is really funny especially as the dog was in the garden all the time! They had a party at the end.
