The Runaway Troll
Matt Haig
Meet Samuel Blink. He’s been sent to Norway, to live with an aunt and uncle he never knew he had. He has just started at a new school, where no one wants to be his friend. He is forced to eat Aunt Eda’s horrible, stinky brown cheese. But just when Samuel thinks life couldn’t get any worse …he finds a troll under the bed.

I really like The Runaway Troll and it is the sequel to Matt Haig's book Shadow Forest. It's fictional and my favourite characters are Martha and Aunt Eda. I would recommend it to all children over 10 years old.

This is a great book about Samuel Blink and his sister, Martha and Troll Son, and yes, that's his real name! My favourite character is Troll Son because he always says stuff like "Troll Son not go back to forest" or "Troll Son like Samuel Blink!" and he is always copying Samuel. My favourite bit is when Troll Son uses Samuel's toothbrush and Samuel gets really cross with him and gets disgusted! I would recommend it to older readers but younger readers not as much as their is this bad guy called the Betterer and he puts trolls into this really itchy water that stings like crazy!

It is awesome! There's adventure, humour, details (and rude interruption by the author.) If I had to read this book again I'll definitely as the book is really good for a chapter book. The whole book is based on fantasy creatures such as trolls, truth pixies, tomtegubb, huldre-folk and skull-peckers.The book is made up totally and it's all about magic.⭐⭐🌟
