Billy the Bird
Dick King-Smith
When Mary Mary finds her little brother Billy seemingly floating above his bed, with his nose, tummy and toes touching the ceiling, she is astounded. Never before has anyone in Mary’s family been able to fly – even though their name is Bird!
An engaging tale from everybody’s favourite animal author Dick King-Smith.

I never knew Billy could fly

I liked this book because Billy was flying and he was spitting at a bad guy. His mum and dad didn’t know that he was actually flying - they didn’t believe Mary.

When Mary talks to her pets she comes up with a idea for her brother Billy. My favourite part is when Mary finds Billy touching the ceiling. My favourite character is Lilyleaf because she is wise.

It’s about a young boy who can fly. He has a big sister. She discovers that he can only fly when the moon is full. She told him not to say anything to their parents but when she tells him again; he did remember his flight.

I find this book funny because this boy called Billy flies. He even saves his house from a cat burglar. He doesn't know he is flying in the morning, but he loves it when he is actually flying.
