I would recommend Queenie because it was a fictional story of girl and her grandma who both had TB. My favourite characters were Gillian a patient in the hospital and nurse Gabriel a nurse.

After reading this book, I truly learnt the lesson 'don't judge a book by its cover'. I expected Queenie to be a slightly boring book about a girl whose nan is in hospital and how she has to cope without her. But, in reality, Queenie is a touching, heart-warming book about a sweet girl named Elsie Kettle who learns to adapt to her new life in the hospital. I did not expect the ending! You should definitely read this book, boy or girl, young or old. :)

In Queenie, I liked Angus, the boy, because he was interesting and kind. I also loved Queenie, the cat. I would recommend it for someone who likes family love, animals, imagination and friendship.

I liked this book because there is this nice cat called Queenie who cheers up the little girl at the hospital. It was also created for the Queen’s coronation since Elsie and her grandma want to go but they can’t as they’re both poorly.

My favourite character in the book was Queenie because I really love cats and I enjoyed reading the parts where she is ‘talks’ to Elsie.

This book is all about Elsie and her life in 1953 with TB. I liked this book because it is all about friends and family. I would recommend this to anyone who lives Jacqueline Wilson books!
