I liked this book because it was really funny. For example the cat, Barry, will only eat things that are not meant for cats. My favourite part was when Penny Dreadful set a burglar trap and her Gran fell over it and broke her arm. My favourite character is Penny Dreadful. I would recommend this book to other children.

I liked Penny kept having mishaps. This book was only let down by the continuous use of the abbreviations ' i.e. e.g. ' and where it kept using people's full names. Other than that though, it was a good book.

There are three stories about Penny Dreadful in this book: Penny .dreadful and the Rat, Penny Dreadful Show and Tess, and Penny Dreadful is a complete catastrophe. My favourite was the last one, because it was very funny when Barry the cat was rapidly running in the hospital and that Penny said that the person at the desk had a beady ear. I would recommend all three stories to six, seven and eight year olds, for both boys and girls.

Funny story!!! In the school, there was a girl called Penelope Jones (Main character in the story(Everyone calls her Penny Dreadful)). There was a teacher called Miss Patterson. Mr Schumann is the Headteacher of the school. Miss Patterson bought a rat for a pet and the children put in a hat, names that that rat could be called. Then Miss Patterson picked out a name from the hat and she picked out Rooney. After that, Miss Patterson said to write their names and put it in the hat so she can do a draw and if someone was picked out, someone has to take Rooney home and the name that takes the rat home is Penelope Jones. Then at home, Rooney got stuck in the water pipes and dad had a 'Bright Idea' to buy Rooney 2 and when they bought it and Rooney 2 got in the school with Penelope Jones, one girl said he was fat actually Rooney 2 was a girl and she was pregnant and the next day, when everyone went to school, everyone saw she had 8 baby rats and Miss Patterson thought Rooney was a boy. Then there was a girl called Bridget Grimes who's Mr Schumann's favourite girl and a big show-off. She did lots of show and tells and she got lot's of stars from Mr Schumann and Penelope Jones hasn't got any stars at all.

I really enjoyed Penny Dreadful because it was really funny and cool. My favourite character was Penny because she is a magnet for disaster. My favourite part was when Rooney [the class rat] came to Penny's house and Cosmo[her best friend] made an amazing maze. I would recommend it to people who like humour and people who are a magnet to disaster!!!! [you know who you are.] Thanks Bye

I love this book because it is naught and humorous. Penelope Jones is a chaotic curious girl who likes experimenting new and odd things, however she causes total disorder by letting Rooney ( the class's pet rat) loose. Check this book out your face will turn red with laughter.
