First published in 1945, a novel which features Elizabeth Allen, a naughty little girl whose behaviour gets her into trouble. Elizabeth is given the job of being school monitor, but the harder she tries the more trouble she gets into.

There is a girl named Elizabeth and she was a monitor but she was disrupting the class whilst Julian was talking. I recommend this book to aged 8 and over.
