Being a good babysitter isn’t always easy, and Claudia is learning that the hard way. She and the other club members have started getting mysterious calls on the job. Is it the Phantom Caller, a jewel thief who’s been breaking into houses in the area? One thing is certain – the friends need to take action to protect the kids in their care!

This is the second book in the The Baby-Sitters Club. In this book, Claudia Kishi, one of the members of the club, is the focus of the story. This book is about mysterious phone calls that Claudia and her fellow babysitters receive while they are on duty. The caller doesn't speak when Claudia answers the phone, leading her to believe they might be prank calls. However, as the calls continue, Claudia becomes increasingly worried and tries to figure out who is behind them. Meanwhile, Claudia is also dealing with personal struggles, such as her difficulty in school, particularly in math, and her strained relationship with her strict parents who disapprove of her interest in art and fashion. Due to this fact, Claudia can't go to a dance since she failed a test. I recommend this book to people who need to learn how annoying it is when you realise that someone is prank-calling you.

Claudia is desperately worried at the news. Phantom Phone Caller Strikes Again! It would shout, worrying her over her babysitting career. You see, Claudia is part of a group of babysitters, and her job is very important. Mary Ann's father has banned her from babysitting, so how can they cope? On top of that, Claudia has been recieving random phone calls where the caller hangs up. Is this the phantom phone caller, or is there another caller desperate for attention.....?

I didn’t give this more stars because I didn’t feel like there was as much description as the previous book but it was still good to continue reading the series
