Farmer Skint has no luck on his farm until one day his goose lays a golden egg, which hatches out into a golden gosling. From that moment on, Farmer Skint is a lucky man. As the bird gets older, her golden feathers turn to ordinary white, but the first egg she lays is a golden one.

I would definitely recommend this book to someone, it was so good. The book is about a family with 3 sons and a little old man who asked for food and bright golden goose. A very kind Inn keep and his wife and their 3 cheeky daughters and a sad Princess. I loved the book, especially the part where Billy , one of the Wood cutter's sons, gets rewarded because he shared his food. My favourite character was Billy because he is so kind.

This story is about a poor family who had two geese. They layed five eggs that were white except one was golden. After they hatched, the golden egg turned into a golden goose that brought happiness to the family. They named her Joy. I think the story is wonderful because it makes us feel happy.I liked Joy because she is cute. I would recommend this book to someone else.

A lovely story teaching our children about the dangers of greediness. The author called Grimm has created many children stories, which are classic.

This fiction book was quite amusing as the author has thought of a golden goose that gives you good times.

Dick King-Smith is very clever and funny giving names to the characters in his books. E.g. in this book= Famous TV naturalist is Sir David Otterbury, living in Galapagos House. rings a bell anyone? I always have a laugh reading D. King-Smith books. I haven`t read a bad one from him, yet.
