Vile Victorians
Terry Deary, Martin Brown
They may have looked all prim and proper, but the Victorians were a jolly naughty bunch who could be vicious and violent and villainous. Readers can discover the murderers who wouldn't hang, when the first public loo was flushed and about stag hunting in Paddington Station. History with the nasty bits left in! 2013 is HORRIBLE HISTORIES twentieth anniversary.

I love horrible histories. The best fact in this book was about schools - the teachers whacked you with a stick if you were naughty.
Viscountess Kiki Bluebird 10.08.2022

I liked this book because it told you how you could become a good Victorian. But the women weren't treated fairly in Victorian times. It wasn't quite as funny as the other Horrible History books.
