Araminta Spook is just like any girl. She likes bats, ghosts, werewolves and vampires. One of Araminta’s greatest ambitions is to see a ghost, and living in Spook House with her aunt and uncle there is a fair chance she will. Then her Aunt Tabitha drops a bombshell: they are moving. The boiler is a menace, plus there are a few other issues relating to dust and spiders. Tabitha is not going to take this lying down and devises an array of Cunning Plans. She is determined to stay, and perhaps there is still a chance her greatest ambition will come true, too.

The story was spectacularly spooky. The description os the house and the characters was perfect: I imagined themm before i saw the drawing! My favourite characters are Wanda and Araminta because they are both very different but they're also very similiar and get along well. It is certain that i want to read the rest of the series!

It is really funny. when you are reading it you think it is scary, but then they make a mistake and it is really funny.

It is a brilliant book about Araminta Spook when she plans an awful ambush to stop her Aunt selling the house but instead it just makes the family like the house even more. My favourite character is Araminta and I would recommend this book to people who like adventure.

I love it that Araminta ALWAYS follows her belifes and NEVER lets Aunt Tabby get her down!

I think others should read this because it has lots of action in it it also contains lots of description so that you can picture the characters and settings very well. It is very hard to put down and has lots of cliff hangers. I think the book was great and I hope you do too.
