My favourite character is Maud because she is really funny. I like the part where Maude realises her Head Teacher is her Great Aunt Ethel.

It was fiction. I liked Maud because she was just a human, but she was actually really scary. Maud has a pet rat. His name is Quentin. He's sometimes in Maud's schoolbag and other times he's in her blazer pocket. Maud used to be at Primrose Towers, but she didn't much like it. The Head said she would fit in at Rotwood which was a school for monsters. It was not a bit like Primrose Towers. One of her classmates was named Invisible Isabel because no one could see her. Another was called Poisonous Penelope. Another Oscar and the last one Paprika. It was quite dark at Rotwood. They only had candles to light the spooky hallways. The dinner ladies had pointy noses and hats. The food on the first day was spider stew, maggot pie and I can't remember the rest. Maud went for maggot pie. The dinner lady had said it was pie. Maud had nearly eaten it, but just before she put it to her mouth she realised it had maggots in it. Yes I would recommend it to someone else because I like it so much.

This is non fiction. I liked the character Maud because she was different to normal children. I would recommend this book to my friends to read because you think it's about something but then turns out the opposite.

I really enjoyed this book, the story stars off with Maud getting expelled from her school by her head teacher and has to starts a new school which is not like any other school you know... Maud is really messy, loves spiders and all animals especially her pet rat Quentin that has to live in the garage because of her twin sister. It’s full of twists and turns, quick book to read and would definitely recommend it

I really enjoyed this book because it had different mysterious problems to solve. It was a great book to read. I wish i could read it again!

I like this book because it is frightening, spooky and it was fun to read. The story is about a little girl in a monster school and she actually likes it.
