As usual it has a great plot but the characters were not as strong and thought out as they used to be. Still, it is a wonderful book worthy of reading.

I really liked this book and I look forward to reading the next one in the series. I loved the level of suspense, and the way every character in the book was different. I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes books with suspense. The book was really good and I always wanted to read more.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read books. It is a fantastic story and must be read in a single sitting (just like I did!) My favourite character is Violet as she always tries to tackle any problem that the Baudelaire orphans are faced to. Sunny and Klaus are also good characters as they both also have their own part to tackle the problems that they come across.

I think people should read this book if they like a lot of things which you think will be a horrible experience and they are but they are made to look on the bright side, even if it seems like there isn't one.The beginning and the end are nasty and it is always a surprise what will happen next. Always the children are badly treated but they know they must be brave. All of the things that happen are bad and horrible even though it could be worse.
