Thirteen creatures in China have come to the river to join in the Emperor’s race. This work is a retelling of the story of the Chinese Zodiac, with endnotes on Chinese astrology and festivals. It’s a lovely book, I learnt about how the Chinese New Year is celebrated with an animal for each year.

It’s really good because Tiger’s dance moves on the last page are very funny. It’s very weird because if the cat is there, it makes there be thirteen years. It’s really good because I get to think of new talents.
