Oliver Moon, a junior wizard, is thrilled when he is allowed to look after the class pet, Nippy the Nipperbat, for the Halloween holidays. But when Nippy disappears, Oliver must find a replacement. Unfortunately for Oliver, his new nipperbat is loud and rude and determined to cause as much trouble as possible.

Oliver Moon got to keep the pet Nipperbat from school for the holiday, but he let his little sister stay with him upstairs. Then, the little sister took the Nipperbat out of its cage. And then, it flew away. But the teacher luckily got it back from the pet shop.

Oliver had to look after the school bet but her mum didn't listen to the teacher and she didn't know they were looking after it. When they got home she said no! The nipperbat escaped!

The main character is Oliver moon. So it's almost the Halloween holidays when there teacher asked if any one wants to look after their school pet nipperbat nippy. Oliver moon says yes but at home it doesn't go as plan. And it's a fiction book.
