Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren - he felt sure of it. So did his brother Hazel, for Fiver's sixth sense was never wrong. They had to leave immediately, and they had to persuade the other rabbits to join them. And so begins a perilous journey of a small band of rabbits in search of a safe home.

This book is good but there are a lot of made up rabbit words which are a bit strange.

it was really good but quite sad I liked how the rabbits chose to adapt after seeing how the rabbits did in the burrow ran by humans. I thought the best character was bigwig as he carried on despite getting injured a lot

This book was outstanding. It was so cleverly written. I loved every moment of it. Everything about it was stunning: The creativity, the description and the way it got to the emotions. I couldn't have asked for more. As well as that it was so original: I've read nothing like it. Richard Adams thought of every single detail when creating his rabbit world. They even have their own language and mythical stories. Also the characters of the different rabbits are really clear and you will enjoy getting to know them. Another thing I loved was the very different cultures of the different warrens they went to and how the rabbits took different ideas from them to create an even better warren. I'd recommend it to children who love animals and have the perseverance to read the whole thing as it is really long (600+ pages) and can take quite a while to warm up. 9-10 years+/. MY FAVOURITE BOOK!!!

An inspiring book about the friendships and trusts within rabbits. It includes crafty plots, daring deeds and some rather poignant outcomes.
