The story is about a girl named Bernie (short for Bernadette) who is the ONLY pupil to arrive at her school.When all the other children go to the school in town, Bernie's mum sends her to the village school, which would have to close without pupils. Bernie has lots of fun being the only one, but when the teachers start to lose the plot, Bernie realises it's up to her to save the school so she takes charge and dazzles the school inspectors. Soon everyone wants to go to Marnover School!

Good book because of the child becoming the headteacher it looked so fun and actually funny
