I liked it because it's using Chinese and Mongol blessings and curses. My favourite character is wawa.

An interesting book, that you need patience and concentration for. My favourite character was the medium girl. I'd recommend to others around age 9 and over.

I liked this story. The best bit was when he flew with the kite for the first time 🪁. I would recommend this to everyone.

Some parts are heart braking but some parts lift up my spirits. This book is written in such a clever way that when you read the it it feels like you are the main character in the book. When I read one part of the book I felt like I was up high in the air but i was actually sitting down on a cushion. I rate this book 5 stars.

It is about a boy named Haoyou finding out his father's spirit.He knows that it is his turn to follow his father so he attaches himself to a kite and is sent to ride to the clouds and the spirits of the dead. This book is adventurous and shows life in ancient China. This is why the kite rider is a great book to read.
