How to Train Your Dragon: A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons: Book 6
Cressida Cowell
Read the HILARIOUS books that inspired the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON films!
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is a smallish Viking with a longish name. Hiccup’s father is chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe which means Hiccup is the Hope and the Heir to the Hairy Hooligan throne – but most of the time Hiccup feels like a very ordinary boy, finding it hard to be a Hero.
Hiccup Haddock Horrendous the Third just wants a nice PEACEFUL birthday. But Hiccup’s dad wants to steal the prized How to Train Your Dragon book, and prove that his Hooligans are just as good as the Bog Burglars – except Hiccup’s dragon Toothless has EATEN it!
So when Camicazi suggests stealing a copy from the grim Meathead Public Library, it seems like a good idea. BUT IT ISN’T! The library is guarded by the Horrible Hairy Scary the Librarian, four hundred Meathead Warrior Guards AND their Driller-Dragons . . .
Will Hiccup survive – or is he DOOMED on his own birthday?
ALSO INCLUDES A DRAGONESE DICTIONARY!
How to Train Your Dragon is a major award-winning DreamWorks film series. There is also a new live action movie due to be released in 2025. The TV series, Riders of Berk, can be seen on CBeebies and Cartoon Network.

This book is funny with hilarious characters. Its imaginative story line will lure in the most reluctant reader.

Fun and we learn a valuable lesson - books are important - because books are banned in the story and then get unbanned.
King Portobello Hungry-Hippo 10.09.2023
Good, but could have been better. It felt a bit rushed at the beginning.

Lieutenant Muscles Tinkle 09.08.2023
My favourite character in the book is The Hairy Scary Librarian because he is very aggressive and vicious but he gets beaten up by two twelve year old’s. I would recommend it to someone else because it is very scary and a lot of fighting happens in the book. I would also recommend it to someone else because it is very long. It is also very funny.
Inspector Leach Hedgehog 18.07.2023

Empress Birthday-cake Quarantine 03.09.2022
This book was a pleasure to read and because it was fiction I think my favourite character was Toothless because he is so cheeky. I think my favourite bit was where Hiccup the viking was where Hiccup, Camicazi and Fishlegs were chased by driller dragons. It was so exciting! I recommend this book to anyone 7+
