Reviews

this was a great book and included a few twists.i dont useually read diaries but thought id try it out.i would say this is for older readers as there are some gory bits (exicutions) and some hard vocabulary.my favorite character is tom who works in the royal menagerie.he is tillys best friend.there were however some parts i wasnt a fan of:i found there was too much drama so in some parts it became slightly boring (a whole ten pages about her falling out with her friend),also the main part of the story is about a letter she found and her trying to get it to Queen Elizebeth 1 and she did in the end but it never said what the letter was acctually about so i felt that it led up too her delivering it but that was all,as the reader i thought that you would find out what the letter said at the end-what i was hoping for.Although the good points about it would be that it included many historical facts and as the reader you really felt like you were there yourself.overall i enjoyed this book and would recomend this book to others but would perhaps more to older children and more girls than boys.
