The Tales of Olga Da Polga
Michael Bond, Catherine Rayner
Olga da Polga has left the pet shop to start a new life with her owners. Her home is now a large and airy hutch and it’s not long before she meets Noel the cat, Fangio the hedgehog, and Graham the tortoise. Her garden companions soon discover that Olga loves an audience and from the moment she arrives she tells them stories about her wild and exciting adventures. Although they are not always sure whether to believe everything Olga says, one thing is certain – since
Olga moved in, life is never dull!
Whether she’s Olga the explorer, Olga the prizewinner, or Olga the storyteller, she is always Olga da Polga!
Written by the beloved Michael Bond, with wonderful illustrations by Catherine Rayner, this is a gift edition for young readers to treasure.

We’d give it 10 stars if we could

This is a really funny fiction book about a Guinea pig who goes on lots of adventures. I really liked reading about how she felt about Christmas. A cat called Noel made her nervous when she went to stay with her owner’s grandparents. I’d really recommend this book, especially to people who love Guinea pigs like me!
Lady Daffodil Eragon 09.08.2024
My favourite part was when Olga thought there was a really scary thing outside her window, but it was actually just the cat. My favourite character was Graham.

A little guinea-pig and her big adventure.
Queen Petunia Volcano 26.08.2020
I liked this story because it was about a guinea pig. But it was a little bit boring as Olga da Polga didn’t go on as many adventures as I thought she might. It was easy to read.

I liked all of the different animals and I liked how they could understand each other and the humans but the humans couldn’t understand them.

I liked this book! It is about a small adventurous guinea pig who is bought by the sawdust family. She makes 3 friends, a hedgehog, a tortoise and a cat. Then life is a MUCH more exiting for her new friends! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure and fun.

Olga is a guinea pig who is very naughty. Whether its meeting the Surrey Puma, or telling a story, Olga always seem to annoy Noel the Cat! (Though she did bite his tail once!)

What an adventurous and funny guinea pig! i still haven't worked out where little Olga lives. i mean, how very lucky for a guinea pig that's cheeky and started her life in a pet shop! i recommend this book to CHEEKY animal lovers and kiddos who like a bit of tension in their adventure book. (I only meant to read for the LOLS but this book's AcTuAlLy quite good!) Notice: this book review is from a kid over 6. :b :D :)
