Funny. He goes on a school trip and 4 people all fall in the lake. Tom Hates is my favourite character. I think everyone should read it!

It is a good fictional book but based on some of the realities of life which I liked. It is funny and made me laugh. My favourite character is Derek - he is one of the main characters and is funny. I would recommend it to 7-12 Yr olds.

Tom Gates is really absolutely fantastic! I loved it when Tom went on the school activity trip and they had midnight feasts and how Marcus fell into the pond! I also loved it when they tried to trick Great Manor school kids and failed! (I think they knew that they were being tricked) Also Marcus said he wasn't scared when he got sick he was so scared! I also loved it when they went to a restaurant and found out Delia worked there! Mum said she wasn't leaving Delia a tip until she found out it was Delia! Delia was grumpy on the way home as usual. Then she groaned about why she didn't want her family to go see her. Yes I would recommend this book.

I love the part where Tom got embarrassed by his moms notes and it was almost as if Mrs mumble shouted about Toms teddy bear on purpose.

This was a fictional book. I liked Tom the best in this book. It was all about a school activity trip and Tom constantly being late. I would again recommend it to anyone who is a Tom Gates fan.

My favourite part was when Tom had to go find he massive pack of toilet paper but burst open and the toilet paper all unrolled. My other favourite part was when the family wanted cheaper stuff to buy so they bought bananas with 60 in a pack. My favourite character was Tom because when his sister annoyed him, he dotted eyes on two of the bananas and showed his sister them. I would recommend this book to humour lovers and people who like laughing.

This book was a very enjoyable fiction book that was very funny at times. My favorite character was Tom (for various reasons). I would highly recommend reading this book. It was a massive 10/10.

There's a school activity trip. Tom is going to it and enjoying the trip(mostly). They do lots of things. (Making rafts, Midnight feasts, Climbing, Kayaking(type of canoeing), and Campfire.

As with all the Tom Gates Books I have read before, I found this one very humorous. But this time, it was also a bit more problematic as there is a school trip letter and Tom lost it so he had to get a new one. The characters I like the best are Tom because he makes a great main character and also Derick because he makes Tom feel better with a drawing of a teacher. I would definitely recommend this to someone else who appreciates wit and a lot of jokes in a book.

This is a great book to read. It's very interesting too. Tom really hates his worst enemy Marcus Meldrew. Before you read this book, I must say that Marcus is very annoying. Some Absolutely Fantastic ideas will help Tom and his best friend handle Marcus!
