Reviews

Eva Ibbotson has made some very high-standards books; from Journey to the River Sea to The Star of Kazan. Many children and adults enjoy these books. The Dragonfly Pool is just as captivating as these. Data: Fiction Recommended to children (adults too) of any age by me. About a girl called Tally who is quite poor who goes to a boarding school and goes to a place called Bergania for a folk-dancing festival. Set during the war.

I really like this book and when I started reading it I couldn't put it down! It was so captivating and I love the style of it; it's about WW2. I like Tally the best because she is the main character and she is similar to me. It interested me as it mentioned what evacuation was like in WW2. I would definitely recommend it to other people because it is so interesting and enjoyable at the same time and it is a real page-turner.
