Mr Gum’s favourite tv show was a bag of sticks and I thought that was very funny because it was just about looking at a bag of sticks the whole time. And when his garden was messy, a fairy comes and whacks him on the head with a saucepan!

This book was lovely and fun. It made me laugh as one of the characters in the book she tried to smack Mr Gum’s head with a spatula.

I found the book a little bit disgusting. It's a disgusting book because it talks about Mr. Gum doesn't take care of his house and himself. I don't have a favorite person. because it teaches you to be careful with your things and makes you think about getting better. yes! because it can help them but still and because it's a really cool book.

I liked this book as it was mysterious. Mr Gum is funny and is a great main character to read about in my opinion. If you are looking for a non-fiction book, this is the perfect one to try!

Mr Gum hates children, sweets and corn on the cob. this story is funny but it is also upsetting that Mr Gum poised the dog .Luckily the fantastic chocolate saves the day . I Would recommend this book .

At the start it was okay but when I heard that the dog was going to get poisoned and died i felt sad for the dog, but also happy because whenever the dog ruins his garden the fairy whacks Mr Gum in the head with a metal pan.

This book wasn't very adventurous compared to the other books, I still enjoyed it though. My favourite character is Billy William the third because he is a funny character in the book. I would recommend this book.

Mr Gum is a very wicked man with lots of nasty plans in mind . Luckily a little nine year old girl called Polly is on the rescue. This book was humerous. I love it so much! I recommend this book to someone who admires funny books.

It was disgustingly funny, and it was really very happy when Jake the dog came back to life! I was glad that in the end Mr Gum ran away.

It's about a man called Mr Gum who is very untidy but he has to keep his garden clean or an angry fairy will come out of the bath tub and whack him on the head with a pan.

I thought it was good but not perfect. I liked when Friday O'Leary came into the book and kept saying "The truth is Lemon Meringue". Once he was in it the book was much better. I would recommend it to other people.
