This book was ok, it was about knights and magical beasts. I like books about magic but some of the language and character names were tricky. It was a good ending though as Tom broke the curse on his father so it was all happy in the end

Balisk is the first book of the series 'The Pirate King' were a pirate called Sanpao is looking for the 'tree of being' which takes you to another land. Tom and Elenna need it to get Silver and Freya back from Tavania! it is a very exciting and enjoyable book.
