Ratburger
David Walliams, Tony Ross
The fifth screamingly funny novel from David Walliams, number one bestseller and fastest growing children’s author in the country. Hot on the heels of bestselling Gangsta Granny comes another hilarious, action-packed and touching novel – the story of a little girl called Zoe. Things are not looking good for Zoe. Her stepmother Sheila is so lazy she gets Zoe to pick her nose for her. The school bully Tina Trotts makes her life a misery – mainly by flobbing on her head. And now the evil Burt from Burt’s Burgers is after her pet rat! And guess what he wants to do with it? The clue is in the title… From the author that is being called ‘a new Roald Dahl’, Ratburger is not to be missed!
Reviews

Burt was turned into a burger, Sheena was turned into a burger, Armitage was save from the machine! Don't read if you have a faint heart.

Found this story to be quite disgusting in parts, but very funny! Watched the movie as well, which was great. Definitely recommend to people who ain't too squeamish!

I really enjoyed this book, just like I do in ALL David Walliams books because it was filled with lots of things. Fun, sadness, and even more. A bit I didn't like was when the lady on the cover, used RATS for the inside of burgers. EWW! My favourite character in the book was Armitage, the rat! This is because he always helped the main character, Zoe because she had helped him. I gave this book 5 stars because it was really funny, especially the part when the whole class saw Armitage on Zoe's head! Read this book now!

My favourite part was when Sheila was pulverised into a burger!

I thought it was a really good story which starts off slow but soon kept me gripped and I wanted to read right until the end. There are some funny but also serious parts like when Raj told Zoe not to look after her rat and so she leaves it at the park, crosses the road to the flat but the Rat Armitage follows her home and nearly gets run over. I would recommend this story because the story has a really happy ending. For example Zoe's dad used to spend all his time in the pub but by the end of the story he makes more effort to spend time with Zoe.

I think it was slightly sad, but I am happy Zoë got Armitage back.
