One puppy with the wild in his eyes.
One girl longing to care for him.

The puppy would fit on one hand, it was so small. Its fur was a pale silver-grey all over, except for one dark star on its head.

Sylvie can’t wait for the school holidays so she can get back to her grandparents’ farm in Italy. Their dog, Bella, is going to have puppies and Sylvie is determined to be there when they are born. Perhaps her mum and dad will even let her keep one?

There is just one puppy in the end. He is a tiny, furry bundle that Sylvie names Star. When Star opens his eyes for the first time it is clear there’s something extra special about him. Something no one was expecting.

My favourite character was star because she was half wolf half dog and I really like those animals. I would recommend this book to people who like dogs and wolf also exiting news. I think this books last 2 chapters are quite sad but its really fun to read there arn't any complicated words as well. You might get a bit disapointed at the end because stars run off and you might think there should be a better end than thinking there are 3 wolfs howling with 1 wolf dog pup. I think the age group should be for 6 and all ages over.

I was amazed by the author who mixed love and fear into the page turning book making you know how it is when Sylvie feels scared or happy.

Bella the farm dog is expected to give birth a litter of puppies. But in the end its only one; a half-dog, half-wolf pup with all its fur silver and gold except a black star on his head. This book heart-warming with a happy ending.

I really liked the book although in some places when Sylvie comes back from Italy it had the tiniest bit of when they were in England ! The bit where she lets Star go where he belongs is really sad but I like the bit at the end where she gets some chickens

This is a great book its sad and happy. Here is what it says on the back.... The back The puppy would fit on one hand, it was so small. Its fur was grey and gold, except for one dark star on its head. I would recommend this book for 9+ .

It's cool when they find out Star is half wolf and half dog. It's nice when she sees her granny and grandad in Italy.
