I liked reading this with my Mummy and brother. Our 2 year old loved looking at the different images painted by the paintbrush. Beautiful illustrations.

It was unusual that Shen was given a magic paintbrush. This means the story must be fictional because magic paint brushes aren't real. My favourite characters were the emperor's men.

My favourite character was Shen because she uses the magic paintbrush for good causes. I would recommend it to someone else because it involves a magic paintbrush and you can paint whatever you like.
