Inkheart
Cornelia Funke
Meggie loves books. So does her father, Mo, a bookbinder, although
he has never read aloud to her since her mother mysteriously disappeared.
They live quietly until the night a stranger knocks at
their door. He has come with a warning that forces Mo to reveal
an extraordinary secret – a storytelling secret that will change
their lives for ever.

Inkheart was very good. I thought it explained it all at the end. The ending was very good and surprising! I would rate Inkheart 6/5 if I could! My favourite character was probably Dustfinger. He was a good character because you never find out everything about him from the first book. Also, you don't really know if he is good or bad as he has times when he is good and saving people and other times he is betraying people because he thinks if he does they will take him home

I love how the story starts about Dustfinger coming to Mo and Meggie and seriously the path they take I love how Cornelia Funke made this a long, adventurous and exciting story with a lovely description of the backround

I really enjoyed this book as it is a really great idea and creates a sense if wonder and awe. It is a fantasy fiction book and my favourite character would have to be Meggie. I really love how she (spoiler alert) can read characters out of books and made me think what character I would want to read it of books if I could. I would really recommend this book and can't wait to read the other two books in the series.

This book tells a story about a girl called Meggie whose father is in possession of a magical book. When Meggie was young her father read aloud from Inkheart, the book he had, and Meggies mother vanishes into the book and is replaced by an evil villain called Capricorn. I really recommend this to my mama and to kids from age nine like me. My favourite character is Dustfinger because he can eat fire and he is courageous.
