Jessie is helping her dad prepare for the Open Day on his allotment. When a stray cat arrives at the allotments, Honeysuckle, one of the gardeners, declares it a Rain Cat from Thailand. Jessie has always wanted a pet, and is happy to help Honeysuckle pamper the cat. Naturally, the other gardeners are sceptical… but then it starts to rain…

This book is one of a kind and is all about cats .It is a hot day Jessie is helping her dad in the allotment. A black cat came into their allotment and was sitting on some old sacks. Honeysuckle, their neighbour says it is a cat that will bring them rain. Dad says it is not a rain cat but honeysuckle orders tomorrow to be a proper honoring day with poems to br read out. The next day, the poems are read out and it rains the next day. However,it rains for 3 more days and on the opening day the weather was fine.In the end the cat goes back to it's owner and Jessie gets a cat .

We got this from the chatty shop so second hand but it was a realy good book I loved that in the end the girl got a cat 🐈. The so could royal cat of the Thailand was never proven to actually be the royal cat of the Thailand so I loved this book as much as I love mysteries.

I think you should read this book because its mysterious of how when Jessie and her friends read poems and spoils the raincat that can make the weather change when a boy finds that the raincat is his normal cat and not a cat with magical powers.

I love stories about cats and this book was so good to read that I finished it in one go! My favourite character was a little girl called Jessie because she was really good at writing poems.
