How to Survive Summer Camp
Jacqueline Wilson
Stella’s mum and step-dad have gone off on holiday and have dumped Stella at the Evergreen Holiday Camp. She’s not happy! Especially when she finds out she’s expected to learn to swim – the one thing her mum promised she wouldn’t have to do. She’s determined not to enjoy herself and settles down for a nightmare summer, but in the end she finds herself making friends, getting into scrapes, and having much more of a good time than she ever could have imagined!

This book was a crazy story about a girl that didn’t have a good time at summer camp. Some people weren’t very nice to her but she made a friend. I quite liked it but I prefer stories about animals.

I think this book is really interesting and fun to read because when she went to the summer camp, she learnt a lot of new things! Stella Stebbings is really scared of swimming, but later she overcomes it. My favourite characters of the book is Stella Stebbings and Rosemary. I would recommend this book to everyone because summer camps are fun to go to, if you have the right people around you.

Stella Stebbings had the worst summer camp.Especially when she was told that she would have to share rooms with two mean kid snobby Louise and nosey Karen. and three other nice girls Jeanie, Rosemary and the nicest of them is Mazipan. Stella wasn't scared of anyone or anything. But... she was really, really scared of swimming it was her nightmare even uncle Bill and her mum promised that she wouldn't have to swim but her mean, old teacher forced her to swim unless she'll take a team point away. Yes i will recommend this book to a reading school and friends because it is really intresting and funny at the same time

When I got this book I wasn’t sure whether it would be a good book or not but I must say that I was very surprised... it was incredible. I felt so sorry for her being scared of the water and not being able to swim

Stella gets taken to evergreen summer camp but she doesn't want to go. Things start badly when Stella gets mistaken for a boy and has to share a room with snobby Louise and nasty Karen but worst of all she's forced into terrifying swimming lessons.
