This was a very spine tingling book because The Secret Seven go over to Bartlett Lounge to get Susie’s aeroplane that got stuck on the tree. Peter went up to get it when he saw a gas fire inside through the open window and got very worried because the owners were away so that meant that someone had snuck in while they were away. The Secret Seven soon find out that it is the local gardener and his wife who are living there because their house is sinking in the river and the gardeners wife is very ill so they had to go to a different place. Soon the Secret Seven save up enough money to get the gardener and his wife a new place to live.

When Peter and Jack search for their lost model aroplane in the garden of an abandoned house, they see a gas-fire alight in one of the rooms. It turns out that the person is a poorly old woman. She needs to stay there with her husband because they can't live without each other

This series is for 7-10 ages. I love mystery stories and The Secret Seven series is one of my favourites! But this story is the odd one out of the series. It is not what you think will happen.

This book was about an adventure about a really lovely airplane toy that got lost in a gardener's house. The gardener however, was really mean and wouldn't let the secret seven to search his garden. At the end they got it. This was a nice and adventurous book. I liked Jack the most. I would recommend this book to someone who is inspired by adventures.
