I finished reading outcast and I found the book really enjoyable and extremely hard to put down. I have read previous books from the chronicles of ancient darkness and like the others this did not disappoint! I love how the book builds up to a thrilling climax and how it beautifully shows strong friendship and trust. It has a mix of reality and fiction and it is so well described that you feel as if you are actually there. Although Torak is the main character, I also think that Wolf was a good favourite of mine. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves thrillers and adventure.

I read Outcast by Michelle Paver. I enjoyed reading this book because it was very intriguing and there was a twist round every page. Also, there are a few gruesome parts which may be a little scary for younger readers. My favourite character is Renn because she is amazing with a bow and arrow and is very independent but cares deeply about the raven clan and saving Torak from his troubles. I would recommend this book to age 10-12 for the a bit of the gore.

I love this series because it’s about living in the wild before the ice age. The characters are Torak and Wolf who are pack brothers even though Torak is a boy. Torak is really brave and daring.
