When all issues of space, time, matter and the nature of being are resolved, only one question remains: Where shall we have dinner? ""The Restaurant at the End of the Universe"" provides the ultimate gastronomic experience and, for once, there is no morning after. Arthur Dent’s odyssey through space continues as he takes a trip to the end of time itself in search of a decent meal, and accidentally alters the future of the entire human race.

'The Restaurant at the End of the Universe' is a really funny (and wacky) book about the adventures of Arthur Dent and company. They travel to all sorts of places in space and time, including Milliways: the Restaurant at the End of the Universe. I would definitely recommend this book if you're into funny and crazy stories!

As the second book in the “trilogy of five”, you should definitely read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy before you read this book. It carries on with the extremely random theme of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and is very enjoyable to read. Zaphod Beeblebrox, Trillian, Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect are just planning to pop out for lunch when the monstrous Vogons start attacking the Heart of Gold, their space ship. Stuck for anything else to do, Zaphod calls upon the ghost of his great grand father, Zaphod Beeblebrox the fourth. Can he possibly help them or will their story finish before it’s even begun?

It was a good book. It had a scene in it that is like one of the scenes in the chronicles of narnia which can be quite confusing! You only reach the actual 'reastront at the end of the universe' about half-way through the book, even though they first START going there at the end of the first book! I like the idea of the restaront being at the actual END OF THE UNIVERSE! This book is quite hard going though sometimes! I like Trillian though, as she was quite a cool character!
