I thought this was a very good quality Short story book. It appears to me that the book has lots of figurative language, great themes (including some funny and sad parts.) I would definitely recommend this book for people who like David Almond‘s Short Story Books.

I didn't like this book because it was long and every time I finished a chapter [small or big] it changed completely so I didn't quite stay with the book as I went along.

it made me and my dad feel all sorts of different emotions. each story has its own boarder. my favourite chapter was the one about the girl who locked her self in the community toliets because of the army men that came and distroud her town and through to tiny window she could see all the children, women and men. when she was in the tolets she got heard by a solder that said to her " stay in there and I will not make them burn it down so you can escape to go find your family".......
