The Secret Puppy

Daisy and her family are going to a campsite for the holidays. Daisy is So Excited Especially, when she finds out there are puppies at Riverside Farm ( where they are staying)! She bonds especially with Barney, the puppy she secretly named! The puppies are German shepherds and Barney has a floppy ear! The family loves their holiday! But, as the end comes too soon Daisy can’t bear to say goodbye to Barney ,although she knew all along she would have to say goodbye in the end. She tries to persuade her parents to have a puppy but they say no. However, when they are spending their last night at the campsite Barney does something that might change Daisy’s parents’ point of view…

I liked Barney the puppy because he saved Daisy and her family and the rest of the campers from the flood. He came to their tent to try and warn them by barking until they came to see what he was alerting them to.

This was one of the best Holly Web books I have ever read. My favorite part was when the puppy helped Daisy get out of the tent before the river reached their tent.
